By Kristen McClure, MSW, LCSW | Online ADHD Therapy Across South Carolina
There's a specific kind of exhaustion that comes from spending years trying to function in a world that wasn't designed for your brain. If you're a woman with ADHD in South Carolina, you may have spent most of your life being told you're smart but scattered, capable but inconsistent, great in a crisis but can't keep up with the basics.
You weren't broken. You were misunderstood. And there's a difference — one that therapy can actually help you feel, not just understand intellectually.
Online ADHD Therapy in South Carolina
I offer individual therapy for women with ADHD throughout South Carolina via secure telehealth. Whether you're in Greenville, Charleston, Columbia, Myrtle Beach, Spartanburg, Rock Hill, Hilton Head, or anywhere else in SC — we can work together online without you needing to travel to an office.
Sessions are held via HIPAA-compliant video. You'll need a private space and a camera-equipped device. That's the whole setup. Many of my clients find that telehealth removes one of the biggest ADHD barriers to therapy: the logistical hurdle of getting there consistently.
Who I Work With
I work specifically with women with ADHD — especially women who:
- Received a late ADHD diagnosis and are reprocessing their life through that lens
- Have been masking for so long they've lost touch with who they actually are
- Are experiencing burnout that won't respond to rest
- Struggle with anxiety, shame, or rejection sensitivity that feels overwhelming
- Have been through therapy before but felt the therapist didn't really get ADHD
- Are going through hormonal shifts — PMDD, postpartum, or perimenopause — that are intensifying symptoms
My Approach
My work is neurodiversity-affirming — which means I start from the premise that ADHD is a different neurological profile, not a disorder to be corrected. The goal isn't to make you function like a neurotypical person. The goal is to help you understand your brain deeply enough to stop fighting it.
I work within the Flourish Empowerment Model, a framework I developed specifically for women with ADHD. It focuses on five interconnected areas:
- Self-Awareness — understanding your ADHD patterns without judgment
- Self-Compassion — dismantling the shame that's been building since childhood
- Self-Accommodation — creating strategies and structures that actually fit your brain
- Self-Advocacy — finding your voice at work, in relationships, and with providers
- Self-Care — building sustainable rhythms that support your nervous system

Frequently Asked Questions
No — I work exclusively via telehealth. All sessions are online through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. This means I can work with women anywhere in South Carolina, regardless of where they live.
Because my practice is fully online, I serve all of South Carolina — including Greenville, Charleston, Columbia, Myrtle Beach, Spartanburg, Rock Hill, Hilton Head, Summerville, Florence, and beyond. If you're in SC and licensed in SC, we can work together.
Individual sessions are $110 for 55 minutes. I am private-pay and do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance plan.
A therapist who specializes in ADHD — especially in women — understands that standard advice often doesn't work for ADHD brains. They won't tell you to just make a to-do list or try harder. The work is built around how your brain actually functions, including the emotional, relational, and nervous system dimensions of ADHD that often go unaddressed.
That's very common among women with ADHD. Most standard therapy approaches weren't designed with ADHD brains in mind, and many women spend years in therapy without ever having their ADHD properly recognized or addressed. Neurodiversity-affirming therapy is a different experience — the goal is understanding and working with your brain, not against it.
