Hitting oneself when requests are not granted.
Sometimes when I don't give my 21 month old son something he wants. He gets angry, cries and then he will start to hit himself in the face and head. Most of the time that this happens is when he is in need of a nap or close to bedtime. It rarely happens any oter time. This is of concern to me because there is a paternal family history of biopolar disorder. I don't want my son to inflict harm to himself when he doesn't get his way. What should I do to curb this?
